Tenda FH456 router set up 

Tenda FH456 is a high-power Wi-Fi router and provides a Wi-Fi speed of up to 300 Mbps. It is a single band router that supports the 2.5 GHz band alone. Consider the steps that are given below to set up the Tenda FH456 router setup.

Physical connection

  • Make sure to unpack the router and place it on an elevated surface.
  • First, turn on the router.
  • Now, connect the modem and router using an Ethernet cable. For this, plug in an Ethernet cable to the WAN port of the router and connect the other end to your modem.
  • If you don’t have a modem, connect the network cable fromyour ISP to the router.
  • Connect another network cable to the LAN port of the router and fix the other end to your desktop or laptop.

Configuring your computer

  • Right-click on the network icon on your Windows computer.
  • Select the Open Network and Sharing Center option from the displayed list.

  • Now, select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TC4/IPv4) in the Networking section and click 
  • Go to the General tab and select the Obtain an IP Address Automatically

  • You can now set up the Tenda FH456 router from the web-based setup page of the router.
  • Launch your browser to go to the setup page. Type the IP address of the router in the address bar.
  • The IP address of the Tenda router is 192.168.0.1. Hit 
  • Choose the connection type as PPPoE if you can access the network credentials by your Internet Service Provider without a router.
  • For a DHCPconnection, you will be able to access your Internet connection directly as soon as you plug in the Ethernet cable.
  • If you have a Static IP, you can select the Static IP 
  • Under Wireless Encryption, enter your SSID and password. 
  • Make sure that the network password is at least eight characters. Click on the OK button to save the settings.
  • You have now successfully finished the set up of the Tenda FH456 router.
