First, connect the router to your modem using the Ethernet cable that came with your router package.
Make sure that the Ethernet cable from your modem is plugged into the router’s WAN port.
Next, connect a Windows computer to your router using another Ethernet cable. This time, one end of the cable should be plugged into the router’s LAN port and the other end into the computer’s RJ45 (NIC) port.
After connecting the cables to your router, turn on your modem.
Once the modem is powered on, connect your router to an electrical outlet using the supplied power adapter.
Wait until the router’s WAN and SYS lights turn solid.
If all the lights are lit, you have completed the hardware connection of the Tenda router setup.
Make a right-click on the Network icon in the system tray on your Windows computer and select Open Network and Sharing Center.
Open the properties of your local network adapter and set up TCP/IP protocol to automatically obtain the IP addresses from the DNS servers.
Next, open the default browser and enter your router’s IP address in the URL field. Hit the Enter key to access the router’s web management page.
If you are prompted to enter the login credentials, enter the password and click Login.
After logging in to your router’s web management page, navigate to the Internet Connection settings and choose your Internet connection type for Tenda Fh1206 router setup.
If you select PPPoE as your Internet connection type, enter the login credentials given by your ISP.
Secure your Wi-Fi network by changing the wireless security settings.
After configuring the necessary settings, click Save and then click on WAN Status to check the connection status.
