How to Change Password on Spectrum Router

CHANGING WI-FI PASSWORD USING WEB BROWSER

On the Windows computer, launch your favorite web browser.
Enter ‘spectrum.net’ in the address bar.
Navigate to the Login option and then select Manage my Account -> Internet.
Find the name of your device and then select the See Device Information option.
When you see the Wi-Fi username and password, select the Password option.
Click the Change Password option.
Enter the existing password and then type the new password as per your desire.
Select the Save button.

CHANGING WI-FI PASSWORD USING THE SPECTRUM APPLICATION

Open the Spectrum application.
Fill the Email ID, Username, or Phone Number fields correctly.
Type the password of the Spectrum application to sign into the Spectrum account.
Select Internet Network Name Change Wi-Fi Settings.
Type the old password and then type the news password in the appropriate field.
Re-enter the new password for confirmation.

CHANGING INTERNET PASSWORD USING WEB BROWSER

You have to launch the default web browser on the computer.

Navigate to the address bar and then enter 192.168.1.2 or 192.168.1.254.

When the Spectrum router login page opens, type admin in the Username field, and password in the Password field.

For some spectrum routers, you have to leave the Password field empty.

Go the Menu section at the left side of the screen.

Select Gateway Connection Wi-Fi Edit Account Password.

Change the password of the Spectrum router as per your wish and then click the Save button.

Find the label attached to the rear side of the Spectrum router.
You will get the password on the label.

USING THE WEB BROWSER

Use the IP address, username, and password to log into the Spectrum router.
Navigate to the Your Services & Equipment section and then click the Internet & Wi-Fi option.
Click the Down arrow to find the Wi-Fi password of the Spectrum router.

WINDOWS 10 COMPUTER

Connect the computer to a wireless network.
Select the Wi-Fi icon and then click the Open Network and Sharing Center option.
Select the name of the network and then click Wireless Properties.
Navigate to the Security section and then click Show Characters.
Find the password of the Spectrum router in the Network Security Key section.

ADMIN PASSWORD FOR SPECTRUM ROUTER

Perform the following guidelines to login to the Spectrum router.

First, check whether you have connected to the Network.
Now, launch a new web browser and type the IP address of the manufacturer’s site and hit Enter.
Next, type the current login information, the spectrum router password, and username.
The username is admin.
Password is password.

FORGOT MY SPECTRUM ROUTER PASSWORD

To reset the Spectrum router password, perform the following steps.

Open a new web page and log into the manufacturer’s site.
Choose the Menu icon and select Manage Account.
Next, choose the Internet.
The network name for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz and the password for each.
First, power off the computer.
Remove the power cord from the router and then take out the batteries
Next, disconnect the power cord from the router.
After 30 seconds, reinsert the batteries back into the modem and connect to the power supply.
