- Spectrum router and your modem using the supplied network cable.
Connect the router to the computer using a standard Ethernet cable and power up the router.
The Ethernet cable should be connected to the router’s LAN port and computer’s network port.
On the connected computer, open the default browser and enter the router’s IP address in the URL field.
Press the Enter key to open the router’s login portal.
Enter the login credentials and click the Submit or Login button to access the router’s administrative interface.
Click the Basic tab and select the Parental Control submenu.
Enable the Parental Control feature if it has been turned off.
Under the client’s name, choose the device using the wireless network and edit the necessary settings.
Specify the correct time under the Time Management section and check if your device can access the wireless network.
This ensures that your Parental Control feature is working properly.
If the problem persists, disable IPv6 in the router because it might turn the router settings complicated sometimes.
To do so, log in to the router’s administrative interface and click the Advanced tab.
Select the Network sub-menu and click the IPv6 tab.
Select the Disabled option from the Connection type drop-down menu.
Restart your router and check if the problem has been resolved.
