Netis WF2800 is a wireless Dual-Band router that provides seamless Internet connectivity. This router also provides a USB port to connect your USB device for sharing files, streaming media, and setting up an FTP server. The Netis WF2880 router setup is very simple if you follow the quick steps given below.
Unpack your router from the product box and take out the router supplies.
Before you begin, ensure that your modem is working and you are getting a stable Internet connection.
To begin the hardware setup, connect your modem to the router using the supplied Ethernet cable. This cable should be plugged into the router’s WAN port (Internet port).
Next, connect your modem and the router to the nearby wall outlets and power them on.
Check the router’s Internet status after turning it on.
Take another Ethernet cable and use it to connect the router to your computer. The second Ethernet cable should be plugged into the router’s LAN port.
After completing the Netis router setup, move on to your computer and set the wired network adapter (Local Area Connection) to obtain the IP address from the DNS servers automatically.
Next, launch the default browser and open the router’s web management page.
If this is not the first-time Netis WF2880 router setup, you must enter your router’s IP address in the browser’s address bar.
You can identify your router’s IP address from its label attached on the backside.
Select your desired language and the Internet connection type on the Quick Setup page.
If you select PPPoE as your Internet connection type, you have to enter the login credentials provided by your ISP.
Under Wireless Setup, configure the wireless network settings such as SSID and password.
For advanced router settings, click the Advanced button at the top-right corner of the Quick Setup page.
Finally, click Save. This will save the configured settings and complete the Netis WF2880 router setup.
