How to Port Forward Netgear Router
Carry out the procedure given below to activate Netgear router port forwarding.
Press the Windows button and type cmd in the search box.
Open the cmd option from the list.
When the Command Prompt window appears, type ipconfig/all. Then, press the Enter key.
Enter the IP address of the router for Netgear router port forwarding
Enter the username and password of the admin user in the Authentication required window.
On the home screen, click the Attached Devices icon to view the IP address of your device.
Select the Internet section on the left panel of the screen.
Navigate to the Advanced tab and select the Port Forwarding/ Port link.
Click the Add Custom Service tab and add all the info details in the prescribed boxes.
Type a service name according to your choice.
Choose the Service type and enter the external starting and ending port numbers.
Enter the IP address of the hostname. Then, click the Apply button.
You can add ports by entering different service names and external port numbers.
Once you have updated the Netgear router port forwarding settings, your traffic will be controlled.
