How to change Linksys e1200 password
First, go to Linksys connect.
Choose Router Settings from the main Linksys connect window and then tap Change.
Now, tap Change again to rename the routers name and password in the Personalize section.
Then, confirm the changes on the confirmation screen by clicking Yes.
Now, Change the router name, and password screen will appear.
Type the name for the wireless network in the Router name field.
In the Password field, enter the new password and then tap Change.
The settings will be changed. Check the Router settings information.
Click Finish after changing the password and go back to the main screen.
Linksys e1200 access point setup
First, turn on the computer and make sure that the other LAN cables are disconnected from the computer.
Then, plug the LAN cable into the LAN port of the computer and extend the connection to the blue port on the Linksys e1200 router.
Now, turn on the e1200 router.
Then, open a new web browser and type the Linksys e1200 IP address in the address bar and click Search.
The Linksys e1200 welcome page will appear.
Then, choose ‘Continue with an Open and Unsecured network.’
Next, tick the ‘I understand that my network is currently open and not secure. I would like to manually configure my router security settings,’ option and tap Continue.
The Windows security option will appear.
Type the username Admin and password Admin.
Now, the internal Cisco connects utility will be displayed.
Then, click Setup and select the language.
Now, choose the Bridge mode for the internet setup.
Enter the specified IP address and select the Time Zone.
Then, click Settings and launch Wireless Security.
Next, choose Security Mode as WPA2 personal.
Proceed to set the configuration to manual.
Then, make sure to set the network mode to Wireless-G only.
Choose the network name same as the Verizon router.
Save the settings. The settings have been successfully saved, and the message will appear. Tap Continue.
Next, click the Administration tab.
Delete the password as admin and create a new one.
Re-enter the new password and then confirm the settings. Tap the Save settings option.
Linksys e1200 change SSID
Perform the following steps to change the SSID,
Go to the routers web-based setup page.
Open a web browser and enter the router’s IP address.
Type the Login ID and the current password as Admin in the respective fields.
The Linksys Wi-Fi router’s web interface screen will be displayed
Tap Wireless option on the setup page.
On the Wireless, select Basic Wireless Settings page, and select Manual
Next, search the network name and type in the name that you want for the Wi-Fi.
Click the Save Settings option to apply the settings.
