- Update the router settings by clicking the Apply Changes option.
- Turn off both the Belkin router and your modem.
- After two to five minutes, power up both the devices.
- Download the Belkin router’s firmware file.
- Navigate to the Utilities section and select the Firmware Update option.
- Go to the Update Firmware field, click the Browse button, and choose the downloaded firmware file.
- Click the Update option followed by the OK option.
- If you see any prompt message on the screen, select the OK option.
- Once the router’s firmware is updated, click OK.
- Note: If the internet connection is lost after updating the Belkin router’s firmware to the recent version while following how to speed up my Belkin router manual, you have to reset the router by holding the Reset button for about 15 seconds.
