The Netis router offers high-speed Internet to connect your wireless devices. The supported Internet Connection types are DHCP, Static IP, PPPoE, L2TP, PPTP, Dual Access, and WISP.

Netis router hardware connection
Disconnect the modem’s power cable from the power source.
Take an Ethernet cable and connect one of its ends to your modem’s LAN port.
The Ethernet cable’s other end needs to be connected to the Netis router’s WAN port.
Use another Ethernet cable for connecting the router’s LAN port and your computer’s Ethernet port.
Plug the modem’s power cable into a power outlet.
Make sure the modem is turned on.
Connect a power adapter between the router’s PWR jack and an electrical socket.
Once done with the hardware setup of your Netis router, proceed with the following steps to set the IP address on your computer.
Setting the IP address
On Windows 8 or 7:
Launch the Control Panel screen.
Click Network and Internet -> Network and Sharing Center -> Change adapter settings.
Right-click the Local Area Connection option and click the Properties option.
Search for Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IP4) and double-click it.
Now, select both the Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically options.
Click the OK button to save the IP and DNS settings.
Navigate to the Apple logo, select System Preferences, and click the Network icon.
In the left panel, select the Ethernet option and click the Advanced option.
Select the TCP/IP option.
Go to the Configure IPv4 menu and choose the DHCP option.
Click the Apply Now button.
Configure the Netis router via the web management page
After setting up the IP address, you have to configure the router via the web management page to complete the Netis router setup. To do this, carry out the following steps.
Open a browser on the computer.
Navigate to the address bar, then type 192.168.1.1 (Netis router’s IP address).
Press the Enter key on the keyboard.
Set the language.
Choose one of these Internet Connection types.
DHCP (Cable Modem)
Note: To select any other Internet connection type for the Netis router setup, click the Advanced button at the upper-right corner.
If you have selected the DHCP internet connection type, the Netis router will automatically detect the IP parameters.
If you want to select the Static IP option, fill the IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, and DNS Servers fields with the correct information.
If the PPPoE connection type is selected, enter the username and password provided by your Internet Service Provider.
Navigate to the Wireless Setup section, customize the SSID and password.
Note: By default, the SSID is netis and the Password is password.
To save the wireless network settings, click the Save button.
Now, you have finished the Netis router setup successfully.
