The Sprint Airave base station provides easy access to your CDMA devices such as smartphones, hotspots, tablets, and modems. To set up the Airave device, first, you need to disconnect all the devices ( cable or DSL modem and router) from its power sources. Now, get an Ethernet cable to connect the modem and the Sprint Airave. After the connection setup, switch on your modem and wait for the initialization process to complete. Once the initialization process is complete, reconnect the power supply to the Airave to turn it on. Now the Sprint Airave is set up.

How to set up Sprint Airave with Router
The first step of the procedure is to disconnect all the devices from your wireless network.
Position the Airave router close to the window.
Connect the Ethernet cable between the modem and the Airave router.
The next step is to turn on your router.
Wait till the Airave router completely turns on.
Attach the power cable to the Airave router and the electrical outlet.
The router is now all set to be connected to your devices.

Follow the guidelines given below in the same sequence as mentioned to set up your Sprint Airave 2.5 device. These steps can be followed for both Airave 2.5 and 2.5+ devices.
Before proceeding with the installation of the Airave device, disconnect the power supply from your network devices such as Ethernet and DSL modem.
Set your Airave 2.5 device on a steady platform near a window and make sure that no object obstructs the signal.
For maximum signal reception and transmission, keep the Airave device on a platform that is in an elevated position.
Attach the yellow Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on your modem.
Insert the other end of the cable into the WAN port at the rear of your Airave device.
Power on the DSL modem. Wait until your modem initializes before continuing with the next step.
Attach the supplied Airave power cord to the device’s power port.
Insert the other end of the Airave cord directly into a power outlet.
Make sure you connect the power cable to the Airave device before connecting it to the power outlet to prevent circuit damage due to a power surge.
Use your Ethernet cable to connect your PC or LAN router to the Airave’s LAN ports that are blue.
To connect the GPS module, place it on a high platform near a window. Connect the GPS antenna cable to the GPS module.
Attach the other end of the Airave GPS cable to the Airave GPS port.
Now, the Airave setup sequence initializes and the device’s LED lights change colors. After the Airave initializes, the GPS, broadband, and mobile LEDs become green.
This concludes the Airave 2.5 setup and initialization. Your Airave device is now ready to use.
How do I connect my phone to my Airave?
Before connecting your phone to the Airave device, ensure that you have an active internet connection on your modem.
Unplug the modem and the router to stop the power supply. Remove the Ethernet cable that connects the router and the modem at the modem’s side.
Connect the yellow Ethernet cable to the WAN port of the Airave device and the Ethernet port of the modem.
Connect the power cable to the modem & power outlet, and wait until it initializes.
Connect the Airave power cable to the power port and a power outlet.
Attach the Airave GPS cable to the GPS module and the GPS port of the Airave device. Place the GPS module by a closed window flat on its face.
The GPS LED takes up to half an hour to light up on the Airave device.
Plug in your router. Connect an Ethernet cord to the LAN port on your Airave device and the router.
When the Mobile, GPS, and Broadband LEDs stop blinking and emit continuous green lights, it means that the setup is complete.
Go to your phone, turn on your Wi-Fi and connect to your home network provided by the router you have set up.
Call *99 on your phone and listen for an automated audio message stating that your device is within Airave coverage.
