Method 1 - Clear and rescan for devices

Step 1

Launch the default web browser on your wireless device (computer, laptop, or mobile phone) that is connected to the AT&T router.

Step 2

Type the default IP address of the router in the address bar.

Step 3

  • Enter your router’s admin password in the Enter Admin Login field.
  • Note: The default admin password of the router is attadmin. You can found the login credentials at the rear side of the router on its label.

Step 4

  • On the router’s web interface page, click the Connected Devices tab in the left panel.
  • The devices that are connected to the AT&T router will be listed on the screen.

Step 5

  • Select the Clear and rescan for devices option.
  • This will remove all the connected devices.
  • Still, If some of the devices are not disconnected, Go to Method 2.

Method 2 - Changing the wireless password of the At&T router

Using Smart Home Manager

  • Access Smart Home Manager, navigate to Menu, and click Network followed by Wi-Fi password.
  • Create a new Wi-Fi password and click the Save option.

Using the Gateway user interface (web-based setup page)

  • Go to the gateway user interface of the router, navigate to Home Network -> Wireless.
  • Navigate to the Security drop-down menu and choose the WPA-Custom option.
  • Type a new wireless password for the router in the Key field.

Method 3 - Using Smart Home Manager

  • Access Smart Home Manager using its user ID and password.
  • Click the Network option followed by the Connected Devices option.
  • Select the device that you need to disconnect and then turn off its access.

Method 4 - Disabling auto connection on your phone

iOS:

  • On your iOS device, navigate to Settings and tap the Wi-Fi option.
  • Select the AT&T router’s SSID and disable the Auto-Join feature.

Android:

  • On your Android mobile phone, select the Wi-Fi option on the Settings screen.
  • Choose the wireless network, tap Options, and turn off the Auto-Connect feature.

Method 5 - Block devices

  • If needed, you can bock the devices that are connected to the AT&T router.
  • On the web-interface page of the router, click the Connected Devices tab and select the device that you need to block.
  • When the Device Details page opens, click the Block Device option.
  • If you see the ‘Are you sure you want to block this device’ prompt message, select the Block Device option to confirm. And finally you know how to remove devices from At&T router.
