The steps for setting up Netgear N300 wireless router are given below.
Power on the Netgear N300 router and wait until all the LEDs start glowing steadily. This means that the router has initialized.

Then, go to the address bar on the web browser which you have installed on your computer. Type ‘192.168.0.1’ or ‘192.168.1.1’ without quotes and press Enter.

The usual reasons for a non-responsive router can be cleared by following these guidelines. Restart the Netgear router and modem. Unplug the router and modem cables from the power source. Wait for at least ten seconds before plugging them back into the power source.
