How To Hook Up Netgear n300?

The Netgear N300 Wi-Fi extender helps to enhance the range of the wireless network connection to the areas where the Wi-Fi connection is weak. You have to connect the Wi-Fi extender to the primary Wi-Fi router network to achieve a wide range of wireless network connections. Use the procedure below to hook up netgear n300 extender;

Method-1: Via WPS

  • The router you are using should have the (Wi-Fi Protected System) WPS button to use this method.
  • When setting up the extender, keep the Wi-Fi router and the hook up netgear n300 extender in the same room.
  • Turn on the Wi-Fi router network and then plug the extender to the wall socket.
  • Power on the extender and then press the WPS button on the extender.
  • The green LED flashes when the extender is scanning for the available router network.
  • Next, immediately press the WPS button on the router. After that, the extender connects to the router network, and the green LED light on the router indicates the extender connection.
  • By default, the Netgear extender uses the router’s network password.
  • Connect the computer to the router network and find the extender network having the same network name as the router network with the “_EXT” extension.
