How to Disable Firewall in Dlink Router

Carry out these steps to disable the firewall in D-link router

  • Turn on the D-link router as well as your computer.
  • Establish a connection between them using a standard Ethernet cable.
  • Otherwise, connect your PC to the wireless network.
  • On your computer, open the browser window and type the IP address of the D-link router in the URL.
  • You can identify the IP address on the label located at the backside of the D-link router.
  • Log in to the D-link Setup page using the login credentials.
  • On the D-link setup page, click the Advanced tab and select Firewall Settings from the left-side panel.
  • Click the Disabled radio button near the Firewall section.
  • If you wish to disable the firewall settings, uncheck the Enable SPI checkbox or click the Disabled radio button near SPI.
  • Click on the "Endpoint-Independent" radio button near UDP and TCP Endpoint.
  • Deselect the Enable anti-spoofing checking checkbox and click the Save Settings button.
  • Close the browser window and restart the D-link router to disable the firewall.
  • If you aren't able to disable the firewall on the D-link router, click the Call button available on this screen to get remote assistance from our technical support team.
