- Before you begin, identify the wireless settings of your range extender.
- Next, connect it to a wall outlet within the router’s Wi-Fi range and turn on the extender.
- Once it has been powered on, connect your computer to the extender using the supplied Ethernet cable.
- Some extenders do not support the Ethernet interface. In such cases, you can connect your computer to the extender’s Wi-Fi. Click the Network icon in the system tray and turn on the Wi-Fi button.
- Choose the TP-Link extender’s Wi-Fi name from the list of available wireless networks.
- Click the Connect button and enter the network key (if prompted).
- Once a wireless connection has been established successfully, open the default browser on your computer.
- Type your extender’s IP address in the URL field and press the Enter key to access the login portal.
- Enter the default login credentials (admin for username and password) in the required fields and click Login to access the web management page.
