Step-1: Physical connection

  • Turn on the router’s Wi-Fi network and make sure it is in the same room as the range extender.
  • Connect the range extender to the power outlet.
  • Attach an Ethernet cable to the range extender and connect the other end to a computer.

Step-2: Access the extender configuration page

  • Launch a browser, enter the official TP-Link repeater URL, and press Enter to access its web-based setup page.
  • Following that, enter the username and password to log in to the extender page; “admin” is the default username and password.

Step-3: Configure the TP-Link extender

  • Once the extender configuration page opens up, go to the Quick Setup section and click Next. Then, set the Region and again select Next.
  • Now, the extender will scan for the available Wi-Fi networks, after which you have to select your network name and enter the network password or to know how to connect TP Link range extender to router.
