  • Turn on your Netgear router.
  • Make the connection between the Netgear router and your computer.
  • Open a web browser on the computer which is connected to the Netgear router.
  • Then, type the IP address of your router in the web browser. If you do not know the IP address of your router, you can find it from the user’s manual or the label at the bottom of your router.
  • Now, enter your router’s default username and password on the login page. The username and password are also printed on the label at the bottom of your router.
  • When you log in, click the Advanced tab and choose Advanced Setup option.
  • Then look for the option UPnP and click it.
  • After that, in the UPnP page, check whether the checkbox near the Turn UPnP On option is selected. 
  • If the Turn UPnP On checkbox is not selected, then select it. By default, the Turn UPnP On checkbox is selected.
  • Finally, choose the Apply button to save the changes you have made.
