  • Ensure that you have no issues with the Internet service provider. In case if you have any, resolve them.

  • Go to the official Xfinity website from your web browser.
  • Navigate to the Internet service tab under My Account.
  • Now, enter the login credentials of your Xfinity account.
  • Select the Devices option at the bottom of the page and locate the Modem section.
  • Now, click on the Restart modem button.
  • Select the Start Troubleshooting tab to detect your router issues.
  • The troubleshooting process takes up to 7 minutes to complete.
  • If you are using a mobile device, download the Xfinity My Account app from the App Store or Google Play Store app.
  • Select the Internet option at the bottom of the page and touch Restart this device.
  • Restart your device after the troubleshooting process is complete.
  • If you are still facing problems with your Wi-Fi network connection, open the web-based setup page of the router.
  • You need to know the Comcast router's IP address to go to the web-based setup page.
  • Open Command Prompt as an admin user and type ipconfig. Tap Enter.
  • Locate the IP address in the Default Gateway section.
  • Locate the right option to factory reset your router.
  • You can also factory reset the Comcast router physically on the router if your router model has a reset button.
  • If there is a Comcast Wi-Fi router problems, it will be fixed after factory resetting the router.
