Routers, the network devices, connect the devices on a network to the internet. When a router is turned on and configured, it goes through several stages, which is indicated by the LEDs on the router, since there is no display panel on it.
The Cisco routers also have several LEDs on their front panel. The LEDs are DS, US, DSNR, V OK, V1, V2. The DS light indicates the downstream channel connection of the router. If the DS light on your Cisco router is blinking, it means that the router is trying to connect your computer to the internet. Type reload in the Cisco router interface. Then enter no when prompted to modify system configuration.
