Physical Setup

  • First, check if your network modem is configured correctly. If not, configure it.
  • If you’re going to set up a new Buffalo AirStation router, then unpack it and keep it aside.
  • Now, get two Ethernet cables.
  • Using one Ethernet cable, connect your Buffalo router to the modem.
  • Connect your computer to the router using the other Ethernet cable.
  • Turn on the router by connecting it to the power socket. Similarly, turn on your modem and computer.

  • Open the Google Chrome or any other desired web browser on your computer.

  • Click the Apply button after modifying the router settings.
  • Go to the Security section.
  • Select the Wireless Authentication and Wireless Encryption options from the corresponding drop-down menu.
  • In the WPA-PSK (Pre-Shared Key) field, create and enter a password that is between 8 and 63 characters (use letters and numbers only).
  • Finally, click the Apply button.
  • Now, your Buffalo AirStation router will restart.
