ATT Uverse Wireless Router Setup
Follow the procedure stated below to set up your AT&T router and use it.

Using an Ethernet cable, connect your router to the AT&T router.
Make sure that you connect an Ethernet cable to the WAN port of our router and LAN port of the AT&T router.
Open the web browser on your PC and type the default IP address of the AT&T router and tap the Enter button to configure the AT&T router settings. The default IP address of the AT&T router is 192.168.1.254.

Click the Wireless option under the ‘Key Things to do Using your Gateway’ section. Turn on the Wireless settings and then disable the Wi-Fi feature.
Once you complete configuring the ATT uverse wireless router setup, configure your router settings.
You can configure your router in two ways. You can download the AirPort Utility application from the App Store and type the default IP address of your router to start configuring the router settings.
Otherwise, directly enter the default IP address of your router in the web browser to open the web setup page of the router.

Turn on the Bridge mode under the Network section and then check the Wi-Fi network to start accessing the internet.
Follow the instructions to restart and reset your AT&T router to the default factory settings.
You can reset the AT&T gateway in two ways.
To restart your AT&T gateway, disconnect the power cable from the AT&T router for a few seconds and reconnect the cable back.
Wait till the broadband light changes to green.
If you reset the AT&T router to the factory default settings, it will delete all the information like Wi-Fi passwords, Wi-Fi names, SSID, static port, and port forwarding rules.
Now, hold the red button at the back of the ATT uverse wireless router setup and release it after 15 seconds approximately.
To perform resetting on 2Wire/Pace Gateway, launch the browser on your PC and enter the default IP address of AT&T router as 192.168.1.254 in the address bar to open the gateway interface.

ATT Router Default Password
Do the steps below to change the default password of the AT&T router.
Locate the IP address and device access code on the sticker attached to the backside of the AT&T router.
Make sure to connect your computer to the network.
Open the web browser and type the default IP address in the search bar and tap the Enter key to configure your AT&T router settings.
If prompted, enter the device access code of your AT&T router.
Choose the LAN and Wi-Fi option and then change the Wi-Fi password under the User Network section.
Once you are done with the modification, click the Save button on the bottom-right corner of the screen to complete configuring the ATT router setup.
You can use the new Wi-Fi password to login to the network.
How To Port Forward Att Router
To port forward ATT router, perform the instructions given below.
Launch a web browser on your Windows or Mac system.
Click anywhere in the search field and type the Default Gateway keyword.
Now a window appears. Search and locate the Firewall tab to port forward ATT router.
Select the NAT or Gaming option from the Firewall tab.
Type your Device Access Code in the given field when prompted.
You can find the Device Access Code on your modem or router.
Click the Continue button. Select the Add or Edit Services option in the Custom Services drop-down menu.
Set the Service features as per your need and click the Return to NAT or Gaming button.
Select the service type you need in the Application Host Entry section to port forward ATT router.
Similarly, select the DVR or NVR’s IP address in the Needed by Devices section.
Click the Add button. Check and make sure that you have selected the correct port.
Now, go to canyouseeme.org. site and check if all your ports are selected.
Reset ATT Router
To reset ATT router, perform the instructions given below.
Before you reset your ATT uverse wireless router setup, try to reboot your Wi-Fi gateway.
Now, press & hold the Reset button on your gateway for ten seconds to reset ATT router.
After ten seconds, make sure to release the button. Wait for the gateway to restart.
Make sure that all the status lights on the control panel are lit.
Check if the Broadband or Service status lights are solid green to reset ATT router.
If so, the reset process is done successfully on ATT router setup.
If not, perform the above process one more time.
How To Change Att Uverse Router Name
To change ATT Uverse router name, perform the instructions given below.
Launch a web browser on your computer system to change name of ATT router setup.
Type the 192.168.1.254 IP address in the search field.
Now the official page of the ATT uverse wireless router setup will appear on the screen.
Navigate to the Settings menu and select the LAN option.
Select the Wi-Fi option in the LAN section to change ATT Uverse router name.
Scroll down the Wi-Fi screen and select the User Network option.
Enter a new name in the Network Name field and click the Save button.
ATT Router Not Working
To troubleshoot the ATT router not working issue, follow the instructions given below.
First, check your Wi-Fi network and make sure that the connection is stable.
After that, check your ATT router’s connectivity, power, battery, and backup features.
Stop all the on-going download processes and check your network strength from the third software.
Try to reset your ATT modem. If a red light is blinking on the ATT router’s control panel, start the router reset process.
After resetting the router, connect the ATT router to the network and check if the ATT router not working issue is resolved.
