Reset using the Web GUI:
To reset your Asus router from the Web GUI, initially, turn on the router.
Following that, check whether the router is connected to your computer. If not, take an Ethernet cable and connect it between the LAN port of the router and your computer.
On your computer, you have to go to the web GUI of the Asus router. For this, you have to open a web browser and enter the IP address of the router or just enter https://router.asus.com in the address bar.
On the next page, you will be prompted to enter the default username and password of the Asus router. Enter them correctly.
Once you are signed in, click the Administration tab on the left panel.
Now, on the main window, click on the Restore/Save/Upload Setting tab.
Under this tab, click the Restore button.
This will reset the router to factory defaults and reboot the router.
Reset using the WPS/RESET button (Hard Factory Reset):
First, turn off the Asus router.
Next, locate and press the WPS button on the router.
Holding the WPS button, power on the router.
You could notice the Power LED turn on.
Release the WPS button only when the Power LED flashes.
Now, the Asus RT N66U won't reset to factory defaults and it will reboot.
Again, configure all your network settings from the beginning.
