Unpack the router first and take out the power adapter and network cable from the product box.
Ensure that you are getting a stable Internet connection from your modem by connecting your Windows computer directly to it.
Unplug all the cables connected to your modem and ensure that it is turned off.
Connect your router and the modem using the supplied network cable. This cable should be connected to your router’s WAN port.
Next, connect your computer to the router’s LAN port using a standard Ethernet cable.
If necessary, you can also connect them wirelessly.
Now, turn on your modem after connecting its power cord to an electrical outlet.
Connect the router to an electrical outlet using the supplied power adapter and turn on the router.
Wait until the router’s LEDs are lit. Now, continue the Asus router set up from its web BUI.
On your Windows computer, set TCP/IP protocol to obtain the IP address from the DNS servers automatically.
Close all the running programs and launch the default browser.
Wait for the login page to appear automatically.
If the login page isn’t appearing, manually enter your router’s IP address in the URL field and hit the Enter key.
You can identify the IP address from your router’s label.
If prompted, enter admin in the Username and Password fields and click OK.
To set up WAN using Quick Internet Setup (QIS), click the Go button in the QIS field below Internet Status.
Select your Internet connection type from the following options.
After configuring the router settings, click the Apply all settings button to save them.
