Asus RT-AC51U is a dual-band wireless router. It offers up to 733 Mbps speed. It is equipped with two high-gain antennas for excellent wireless coverage. To perform the Asus RT-AC51U router setup, read the following section.

2. Hardware Setup:
The hardware setup part involves connecting your devices. Follow these steps to start the Asus RT-AC51U router set up:
Insert one end of the router’s AC adapter into the DC-IN port of the router.
Plug the other end of this AC adapter into an electrical socket.
Connect your computer to the router’s LAN port using the bundled network cable. Now, make sure that the WAN and the LAN LEDs are blinking/flashing.
Connect the modem to the router’s WAN port using another network cable.
Take the modem’s AC adapter and insert one of its ends into the DC-IN port of the modem. Plug the other end of this adapter into the electrical outlet.
Important Note: Prior to proceeding, disconnect all the cables from the existing modem setup. Wait patiently for a couple of minutes. Then, reconnect all the cables.The hardware part of the Asus Rt-Ac51u router setup is now complete. Let us now continue with the software part, which involves using QIS (Quick Internet Setup).
3. Logging into the router:
First, you should open a web browser on your computer.
The QIS webpage should launch automatically. If it does, choose one of the following options:
Automatic IP (DHCP)

If the QIS webpage does not launch automatically, you need to disable the web browser’s proxy settings.
To manually launch the QIS webpage, follow these steps. These instructions will help you continue with the Asus RT-AC51U router set up:
In the address bar of the web browser, type http://192.168.1.1. Or else, you can use http://router.asus.com.
Make use of the default credentials to log into the user interface after the Asus Rt-Ac51u router setup. Both your default username and password are “admin” (without the quotes).
